We’re Hiring: 2+ Seasonal Bike Mechanics for the 2027 Season

We’re growing and looking for at least two new mechanics to join the team, with work expected to start in March 2027. Our mechanics ride across Toronto, meet great people and solve a different problem at every stop. If you’re skilled and reliable, love working with people and want to own your work one day, we’d love to hear from you.

What we offer

$30/hour to start

$30/hour to start With a raise to $35/hour after your first full season

Seasonal position

About 6 months of work each year, from late March to late September

3-month trial period

A chance for both you and us to make sure it’s a good fit

A team that cares

A friendly, tight-knit group of people who take pride in our work. As a co-op, we look out for each other and the customers we serve.

Never the same day twice

Every job is a different bike, a different place and a different problem to solve, from home tune-ups to corporate events and workshops

A path to ownership, and room to grow

Strong team members can be invited to become member-owners. From there, we value all kinds of skills beyond the repair stand, from teaching workshops and running events to operations, marketing, tech and partnerships.

Gear provided if you want it

Use the co-op’s cargo e-bike (or similar) and toolkit, or ride your own setup with our approval

Parts at cost

For your own bikes, plus 5% to cover fees

A great reputation to work under

We’ve kept a 5-star Google rating since day one

Who we’re looking for

Mobile repair isn’t like working behind a shop counter. You’re in people’s homes, driveways and offices, working on your own and representing the co-op face to face. Fit matters as much as skill.

Experience

At least 2 years working as a bike mechanic (shop, community bike shop or similar), and at least 5 years of fixing bikes overall

Great with people

Comfortable chatting with customers, explaining repairs in plain language and making a good impression at their door

A positive attitude

You enjoy what you do and it shows. Customers should feel welcomed, not judged for their squeaky chain or bargain-bin bike.

Independent and reliable

You can diagnose and solve problems on the spot without a shop full of colleagues to ask, and you show up when you say you will

Organized

You keep parts and tools in order between appointments and arrive prepared for each job

Ready to ride

Happy getting around Toronto by bike (we avoid sending mechanics out in pouring rain or bad weather whenever we can)

A co-op mindset

You care about fairness, shared responsibility and doing right by your teammates and customers, and you want to become a member-owner one day and help shape how the co-op is run
